With 300 years of sake-making history come to hear the passion for sake making at our brewery

Founded in 1716, our brewery has about 300 years of history. We stick to locally produced ingredients. For raw material, we use Koshihikari and Matsuyamamii produced in Uchiko, pesticide-free organic rice produced with the cooperation of contracted farmers. Mindful of the words of our predecessor that “harder than rice is violence against rice”, we try to avoid machines and other hard things by resorting to ways of making sake by hand. Thus, our sake takes 2 days to squeeze gently by a tank presser. You can enjoy the refined taste of sake without any unpleasant spiciness.

◎Old historical brewery tour and tasting

・We will introduce our traditional sake making and the means to produce sake that stick to Uchiko production as close as possible. During the brewing season (winter to early spring), you can view our brewing process such as rice steaming, making of koji yeast, fermentation and pressing at our brewery. Also you can even experience sake making.
・Enjoy tasting sake while hearing the story of how we brew sake.
・comes with an our original choko (special small cup for sake) as a souvenir
